Here we a Vintage TV Teddy by Tomy Interactive Talking Friend which came out in 1993, what you did was you plugged in the transmitter into your VCR then you put in the Video that came with it and the Bear becomes interactive with the TV.  young children loved it. Although you can't buy this in the shops now, you may at Garage and Car Boot sales.
